Why do I Shoot Weddings?

On a wedding day I make myself available for the full day. Which means I am there for you, for as little as 6 hours or up to 10 or 12. I love to document the start of the day, when you’re getting ready. These moments are normally filled with emotions, and I love adding these in the final films. I will always recommend going for a full day coverage, as it allows for everything to be captured in detail, from the start of the day, until you’re in the dance floor having a boogie celebrating love. Being there for the entire day will ensure the best possible outcome and storytelling. (Any extra hours not included in the package may be billed.) Custom packages are available. I understand not everyone has the same budget and ways of doing things. That’s one of the things I love most about weddings: they’re all different. I take extreme care and detail in crafting your wedding film. Each wedding is a completely new experience to me, I don’t have a set shot list or set way of shooting. When editing, each piece is a completely new project to me, original, and true to the day. I don’t follow any kind of template or formula, but create each film to truly convey the essence of your love, your wedding day, and the people there. The final film is usually delivered between 6 to 10 weeks from the wedding date. 8 weeks being my current standard. Any changes to this turnaround times will be clearly communicated.

My busiest months are normally December - March. So if you’re planning to get married on these months please get in touch soon to secure your booking. Last minute bookings normally work better than you’d expect, and I will always try my best to accomodate for these.

I tend to move around quite a bit, but my base at the moment is in Gisborne, New Zealand. I love travelling so all locations are possible, New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Europe, or wherever your big day will take place! Location shoots will involve travel costs.

I focus and specialise solely on filmmaking. There’s many hybrid photographers/videographers out there who will shoot both. It’s incredibly demanding to do both and get the best results, that’s why I recommend hiring a specialised professional for each. If we’re in the same town we can meet in a café, park, or along the beach too! From there on we will be in touch about all the details and I will make a plan for the big day. I am also here if you need any help or advice with anything to do with your wedding, I’ve been to quite a few :) PAYMENT: A 40% deposit of the total is to be paid upon booking to lock in your date.
